They want FP&A vs accounting vs credit, then Excel plus one system, then a variance or forecast you owned.
Common ATS gaps
- JD named SAP / Oracle / Power BI while the CV only says “MIS.”
- No close cycle, entity count, or forecast horizon.
- CFA/FRM listed without the level, or listed when the JD never asked.
Keywords that only count with proof
Name the system and the slice: forecast, variance, or credit. Put a [X] on days-to-close or forecast error only if you will fill it.
Common questions
- Should I put every Excel function?
- No. “Excel models for monthly forecast” parses. A VLOOKUP-INDEX-MACRO list looks like stuffing.
- Is a CA intern CV the same as FP&A?
- No. If the JD is FP&A, lead with forecast and variance, not only statutory audit ticks.
