CV and ATS guide for project managers
They want industry, PMP/PRINCE2/Scrum if asked, then budget or on-time delivery. Tools (Jira, MS Project) only if the JD named them.
Common ATS gaps
- JD named Jira / MS Project / Asana while the CV never names a tracker.
- No domain (IT, construction, pharma) so the parse looks generic.
- Agile/Waterfall as a badge with no release or gate you owned.
Keywords that only count with proof
Name the domain and the method you actually ran. Use [X] for schedule, budget, or defect escape only if you will replace it.
Common questions
- Do I need PMP if the JD did not ask?
- Optional. A shipped programme beats a badge. Add PMP when the JD listed it and you hold it.
- Should I list every framework?
- List the one you ran on the last two programmes. A Scrum-SAFe-PRINCE2 belt without a delivery date is stuffing.
